This Burlingame project involved the remodeling and second floor addition to a one-story ranch house, originally built in 1945. The existing building footprint and most exterior walls remained while the existing gabled roof forms were removed and replaced more modern, single pitch forms. A new second-floor master suite provides interest to the composition and much needed additional space for owner’s the family of 5. The result and a warm, modern home the fits in well with a neighborhood of mostly traditional, post-war homes.
