This 1970's ranch house suffered from small boxy rooms, out of date finishes and poor lighting. The remodeling project involved expanding the kitchen, removing walls and opening up the kitchen, living and dining spaces to one another for an updated great room feel. No new windows were added but the new open floor plan improved lighting dramatically. Coffers were added to the living room ceiling to improve the proportions of the space. The existing masonry fireplace was retained and clad with limestone.
